I wanted to watch this when I was 6 or 7 back in 2000 when it was on TV and everyone was crazy about Pokemons and tokens. But now I am 21.. Will I even enjoy it? Where should I start if its worth watching.

the anime remake is horrible but if follows the manga well they say, the old anime has too much fillers that it makes it boring but the transformation scenes are sexy as hell though, so tough choice but if you just want to know the story then the reading the manga is better

I don't watch fillers in anime. New version art style looks terrible, even on bluray. I like old animation visuals.

I give the classic series 4/10 (below average) because that's all it deserves. It's pretty fun to watch anyways.
Crystal (the reboot) is not as good, so I wouldn't recommend it. Stick to the original if you try it.

Cardcaptor Sakura is considered to be a lot better and was also aired a long time ago (2000 compared to 1993 for Sailor Moon). If you want to do it for the experience then go ahead, but if you want to watch a magical girl anime that you'll actually enjoy there are better options than Sailor Moon.

Unfortunately this could be a problem for you to have any chance to enjoying Sailor Moon.
While Sailor Moon Crystal had no filler, it also had pretty much zero character development for any of the other sailor scouts. The filler of the original anime series was what gave them character and helped you get attached to them.
So honestly your best chance of enjoying it is reading the manga.

Nobody noticed or cared about the fillers back in the 90s and early 00s, and if you haven't read the manga, you probably won't, either. Though the old dub did cut out some of the most random episodes.

Whether you enjoy it really depends on whether you like the humor of the show because humor is the main drawn of the show.
Check out the first few episodes and if you aren't liking what you are seeing then do not watch further.

Since it's a classic shoujo and general series, you should try it out. I watch random episodes of it from time to time because i really like the atmosphere of the series

Read the manga first, if you like it and finish the whole thing, then watch the original series because it's WAY different from the manga. It's the same characters but almost a whole new storyline. If you enjoy both of those, then watch Crystal.

It has a certain trash factor nowadays, but I found it to still be enjoyable (at least the first 4 seasons).
